Dismal

Born from the pieces of Lansdale technical death metal outfit Burn the Empire, Dismal was formed in early 2016 when primary Burn the Empire songwriter Darren Liwen began writing new music. While working on their first official release of original music, Liwen recruited a talented and accomplished lineup to flesh out Dismal, inluding Tyler Capone-Vitale (ex-Burn the Empire) on bass, Grant Harden (ex-Resilience) on drums and Chiemena Ukazim on lead guitar. Chris Grill has been established as the band’s temporary vocalist, with Liwen contributing second guitar and vocals. When they returned in November 2016, Dismal took the stage for their first show with technical death metal powerhouse Cognitive (Unique Leader). Since then, the tech death quintet has shared the stage with Rivers of Nihil (Metal Blade), Artifical Brain (Profound Lore), Hate Diplomacy, Left to Vanish and dozens more.
